According to my Italian friends, Paraggi is the place to stay, It's also the closest town to the Wedding site.
Although the 3 towns can make for a gorgeous walk. It will probably take you 45 minutes to walk from Sta Margherita (Imperiale Hotel) to Portofino. Paraggi being the small town that separates Portofino from Santa Margherita. Note there is NO parking in Portofino, but a bus that shuttles between the small towns on a regular basis.
